What begins in the book becomes a daily routine
Brushing teeth is often the most difficult moment of the day. If your child is already familiar with the movement in the fabric book — hook-and-loop open, hook-and-loop closed, cow's mouth clean — then the real toothbrush becomes the familiar next step.
From countless "Are we there yet?" questions to: Relaxed travel
Traveling with children often means a lot of waiting. A Travel Buddy provides your child with varied screen-free fun – and you with precious moments of peace and quiet.
Step-by-step to self-employment
Tying bows takes patience - and many attempts. When your child practices the movements in the Quiet Book playfully, the cross, loop, and knot will become familiar step by step. This way, a tricky task turns into a small moment of pride.
Less toys on the floor. More adventure in the book.
Our learning toys combine many play ideas in one compact fabric book, ensuring that creative play doesn't automatically mean more mess.
Tomorrow's skills are born in today's play
Close the zipper. Undo the buttons. Tie shoelaces. The buckle on the car seat. The pincer grip for later writing. These are the moments when a child first says, "By myself!" Our educational toys train precisely these skills — step by step, with joy instead of pressure. And one day, the child ties their own shoe.

THIS IS HOW CHILDREN REALLY LEARN
"Early childhood learning functions through all the senses. The cloth books pick up exactly where babies and toddlers grasp the world — through touch, sight, and hearing."

"What convinces me: Jolly Designs combines pedagogical depth with real fun. Children stay engaged—and that's exactly the prerequisite for learning to happen."

"As a pediatrician and a mom, I love Quiet Books. Children often have a lot of toys, but not always meaningful ones. Quiet Books are different: they encourage and challenge children, improving fine motor skills, logical thinking, hand-eye coordination, and attention span. Additionally, everyday situations can be role-played and language development can be supported.

Spare Part Service
A felt piece has gone missing – a favorite character, the carrot, the little vehicle. And suddenly, a piece of your favorite book is gone. With our spare parts service, you can easily reorder lost pieces – so your Quiet Book stays complete and lasts for years instead of ending up in a corner.
How a "Mom Moment" Became a Brand
Behind Jolly Designs is a family with a great passion for creativity and early childhood development. It all started when our son Nevaan was diagnosed with a speech and language disorder. In search of toys that would truly stimulate him – hands-on, sensory, screen-free – we sewed the first fabric book ourselves. Today, over 60,000 families trust in our products.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's on your mind?
Jolly Designs was founded in 2017 by Nishtha Jolly with the vision of creating high-quality, thoughtful toys that genuinely support children's development, rather than ending up in the trash after a short time. Today, we are one of the first and largest quiet book brands in Europe, with over 60,000 satisfied customers and more than 6,700 reviews. We believe in craftsmanship, educational diligence, and that good toys don't have to be loud to be effective.
Three things: First, the craftsmanship. Every page, every flap, every activity is sewn by hand. Second, the educational depth. We develop our products together with a team of pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and early childhood educators to ensure that every activity is meaningful. Third, durability. Our products are not disposable toys. They accompany children for several years and are often passed on to siblings or friends.
Since our founding, we have been producing our products in India in a family business owned by the family of our founder, Nishtha Jolly. This is not an anonymous supplier relationship, but a personal one: Nishtha knows the employees by name, their families, their stories. That's why craftsmanship is just as important to us as fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to education for the employees' children. Embroidery, felt sewing, and the loving detailed processing are a traditional craft, and we are proud that it is precisely this workshop that produces our books and toys.
We work closely with a team of educators and therapists: pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and early childhood educators. Every task in our books, every zipper, every Velcro activity, every flap is checked to ensure it genuinely supports development in a meaningful way. This is the difference from toys that are merely meant to "look educational": we build what actually works.
Yes, very deliberately. We predominantly use OEKO-TEX® certified materials and have our products safety-tested by TÜV. All small parts are securely sewn. We know that babies put everything in their mouths and toddlers pull strongly, and our fabric books, Calmi Cubes, felt masks, and all other products are designed precisely for this.
We understand each other well. Our products are not disposable toys—they are handcrafted, developed with educators and therapists, and designed for years of use. Many of our customers write to us that a single book replaces an entire toy box and accompanies children through multiple developmental phases. Per month of use, this often amounts to just a few euros—for something that lasts when much else has long been discarded.
